Art & Air

Well the Art & Air Festival was a win some – lose some event.  The balloons Friday morning were breath-taking.  I’ve never been particually impressed by hot-air balloons, but coming over the Jefferson bridge, with the balloons in the sky and the arches framing them was absolutely awe-inspiring.  Not a term I use frequently.  Art & Air

So, Friday morning I spent unloading the van, setting up the tent, and running errands to get us all nice and ready.  Friday afternoon it poured while I was on one last errand.  My wonderful booth neighbors pulled everything to the center of the booth so our pictures didn’t get sopped.  Trying to set up in a 10ft circumference was a little slow and tedious, but it all worked out.

During the night the entire family came down with the stomach flu.  Our illustious child care provider Britny pulled through for us once again and booth-sat the entire day.   Have I mentioned how much she rocks?

Sunday I stumbled my way back down to the fair, and broke the entire thing down at 3:00 – we were home by five and everything went really well.  The girls were a little whiney and I wasn’t in the mood to handle it well, but it all worked out.

Next year we will have to take pictures Friday morning.  The balloons really were beautiful.
