“My son’s first yawn” said photographer Daniel Troutman, “that’s my favorite picture.”
Troutman has been snapping pictures of everything from family members to fine cuisine since he was 16 years old. Based in Jefferson, Ore. he’s traveled from the mountains to the coast and all over the Willamette Valley for the best on-location shot. And he makes house calls. “Children especially are more comfortable in their own environment which in turn creates a better picture,” said Clare Troutman, Daniel’s wife and business manager. “Daniel gets down on their level so he can see things from their perspective” she added. “And you should see him enticing dogs with cheese.”
Troutman is a member of the Professional Photographers of Oregon and has been shooting photographs for more than 15 years. His work has been published in VH1, Newsweek, Full Sail Brewery, and Dell Webb. He, his wife, their three children and their dog, Olive, reside in Jefferson.
